API Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
1. Grant of API Access
Subject to these Terms, eToro grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the eToro Public API ("API") solely for the purposes described in these Terms. API access requires a verified eToro retail account.
eToro reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the API or any part thereof at any time, with or without notice.
2. Permitted Uses
You may use the API to:
- Build personal trading bots and automated strategies
- Create portfolio tracking and analytics applications
- Develop market data integrations for fintech products
- Build AI agents and copilots using the MCP server
- Access social trading data (feeds, PI data, comments) for analytics
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense API data without written consent
- Use the API for market manipulation or any illegal activity
- Scrape or crawl beyond published rate limits
- Impersonate eToro or misrepresent your relationship with eToro
- Attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or security measures
- Use the API to build a competing brokerage platform
4. Rate Limits & Fair Use
API access is subject to rate limits as published in the API documentation. You agree to implement reasonable retry logic and respect HTTP 429 responses. Persistent abuse of rate limits may result in temporary or permanent suspension of API access.
For higher rate limits, dedicated support, and SLA commitments, contact us about the Partner Program.
5. Liability & Disclaimers
The API is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. eToro shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or costs arising from your use of the API, including but not limited to trading losses, data inaccuracies, or service interruptions.
You are solely responsible for any trading decisions made through applications built on the API. eToro does not provide financial advice.
6. Termination
eToro may suspend or terminate your API access at any time for violation of these Terms, abuse of the platform, or at its sole discretion. Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the API and delete any cached data.
7. Changes to These Terms
eToro may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the API after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify developers of material changes via the developer portal or email.
Note: These are preliminary terms. Final legal language will be reviewed and published by eToro's legal team before launch. For questions, contact api-support@etoro.com.
